In this modern world it’s not difficult to detect any disease, but awareness of disease and preventive measures are mandatory. Breast cancer is the most prevailing issue in women’s population all over the world. Breast screening is strongly suggested by GP and health practitioners for women aged 50 to 70 .Now in UK the age for screening is being extended from 47 to 73.

Screening keeps you away from a higher degree of breast cancer because it has the ability to detect the cancer at an early stage. It is also called mammographic screening .Breast cancer signs can be easily seen in breasts through screening test which cannot be felt otherwise.

Who Screen Breasts?
A female radiographer takes carefully and quickly two X-rays of both breasts .Two radiologists examine the X-rays individually and report the present condition of breasts. In case of the detection of Breast cancer signs they recommend further tests and remedies. This process does not cause any inconvenience in general, but some women find it painful to compress their breasts with an X-ray machine.

Screening for breast cancer takes place in a special clinic or by breast screening unit .In this busy and hectic life it’s difficult to visit the clinic and screening unit regularly however to stay healthy is also very important.
